about

LOVE this song! Originally recorded by the Swing West a GS band from the 60's. GS stands for 'Group Sounds' which is the label Japanese rock bands were identified as. They needed something other than 'rock n roll' due to the difficulty the Japanese have with pronouncing the letter 'R'.
I like everything about my version. The melody is so happy - no normal band could have come up with it. My favorite part is my addition, the old 1 note lead. I think it's really 2 notes; I'm kinda hammering back and forth between them. And I made sure we kept the end which I think is one of those 'the bands still playing and we need to end and it just falls apart as the guitar manfully finishes that damn riff he's been trying to learn!' You know, if you can't tell them at least once or twice 'Leave like it is- I care how bad it sounds!' is it really yours???
